Introduction

Advanced Tools can be accessed in the Mapping Tab at the bottom of the Layers Menu.

Contours on Satellite:

This tool overlays contour lines on top of satellite imagery.

It combines the realism of satellite imagery with the navigational clarity of topographic maps.

STRATA Opacity:

Adjust STRATA Terrain Layer opacity to view terrain features more clearly. This helps you balance the visibility of:

  • Base Maps

  • STRATA Terrain layers

  • Route Overlays

STRATA Opacity can be toggled between High or Low.

Peaks Completed

The Peaks Completed tool allows you to mark peaks that you have summited. This creates a visual record of your climbing and hiking accomplishments.

Our Peaks Completed tool data is computed from your Garmin and Strava data or routes recorded within the Granite App.

Distance Grid

The Distance Grid overlays a grid on the map that helps estimate distances between points. This can be useful when planning routes or estimating travel time.

The Distance Grid is displayed in 1km, 10km, and 100km increments.

Compass Heading

The Compass Heading tool shows your compass heading at the top of the map. This helps orient yourself in the terrain while navigating and follow bearings.
