NOTE: Granite cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf. Apple manages all billing and cancellations for purchases made through the App Store. You must complete the steps below from a device signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
We're sorry to hear you aren't happy with your Granite Pro subscription. Please feel free to share any feedback on how we could improve our product and service using the messenger button on the bottom right — we're always open to hearing how we can improve!
Overview
If you signed up for Granite Pro through the Apple App Store on your iPhone or iPad, your subscription is managed by Apple — not directly by Granite. This means you'll need to cancel through your Apple ID settings. Don't worry, it only takes a minute and there are two ways of doing this:
Option 1 — Cancel from the Settings app (recommended)
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your name at the very top of the screen (this opens your Apple ID page).
Tap Subscriptions.
In the list of active subscriptions, tap Granite (it may appear as "Granite Pro").
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen.
Confirm by tapping Confirm when prompted.
If you don't see a "Cancel Subscription" button — only an "Expires on [date]" message — your subscription is already cancelled and will simply not renew.
Option 2 — Cancel from the App Store
Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
Tap Subscriptions. (You may need to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.)
Tap Granite in the list of active subscriptions.
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
What happens after you cancel
You'll keep access to all Granite Pro features until the end of your current billing period — there are no partial refunds for the unused portion of the period.
When the period ends, your account will automatically revert to the free version of Granite. Your routes, trip reports, and account data are not deleted and will remain available.
You can re-subscribe at any time from within the Granite app.
Confirming your cancellation
After cancelling, Apple will send a confirmation email to the address associated with your Apple ID. You can also re-open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Granite at any time — a cancelled subscription will display an "Expires on" date instead of a renewal date.
I don't see Granite in my Subscriptions list
If Granite isn't showing up under your Apple subscriptions, it likely means one of the following:
You signed up on a different platform (Android via Google Play, or directly through our website on desktop). In that case, you'll need to cancel through that platform instead. Please reach out if you are unable to figure out where you subscribed and we can help you figure that out.
You're signed in to a different Apple ID than the one used to subscribe. Try signing in to the original Apple ID to manage the subscription.
Your subscription was activated through a partner program (e.g. ACMG, BCMC, ACC Vancouver, SAR, Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol). These complimentary subscriptions don't auto-renew through Apple and don't require cancellation.
Requesting a refund
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled directly by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using your Apple ID.
