How to cancel Granite Pro on Android

Cancelling your Granite Pro subscription that was purchased through the Google Play Store on an Android phone or tablet.

Written by Daniel

NOTE: Granite cannot cancel a Google Play subscription on your behalf. Google manages all billing and cancellations for purchases made through the Play Store. You must complete the steps below from a device or browser signed in to the same Google Account you used to subscribe.

We're sorry to hear you aren't happy with your Granite Pro subscription. Please feel free to share any feedback on how we could improve our product and service using the messenger button on the bottom right — we're always open to hearing how we can improve!

Overview

If you signed up for Granite Pro through the Google Play Store on your Android phone or tablet, your subscription is managed by Google — not directly by Granite. This means you'll need to cancel through your Google Account. Don't worry, it only takes a minute and there are two ways of doing this:

Option 1 — Cancel from the Google Play app (recommended)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.

  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.

  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then tap Subscriptions.

  4. In the list of active subscriptions, tap Granite (it may appear as "Granite Pro").

  5. Tap Cancel subscription.

  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your cancellation.

If Granite appears under Cancelled rather than Active, your subscription is already cancelled and will simply not renew.

Option 2 — Cancel from a web browser

  1. Sign in with the same Google Account you used to subscribe.

  2. Find Granite in your list of subscriptions and click Manage.

  3. Click Cancel subscription and follow the prompts to confirm.

What happens after you cancel

  • You'll keep access to all Granite Pro features until the end of your current billing period — there are no partial refunds for the unused portion of the period.

  • When the period ends, your account will automatically revert to the free version of Granite. Your routes, trip reports, and account data are not deleted and will remain available.

  • You can re-subscribe at any time from within the Granite app.

Confirming your cancellation

After cancelling, Google will send a confirmation email to the address associated with your Google Account. You can also re-open Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions at any time — a cancelled subscription will appear under the "Cancelled" section with the date it expires.

I don't see Granite in my Subscriptions list

If Granite isn't showing up under your Google Play subscriptions, it likely means one of the following:

  • You signed up on a different platform (iOS via the Apple App Store, or directly through our website on desktop). In that case, you'll need to cancel through that platform instead. Please reach out if you are unable to figure out where you subscribed and we can help you figure that out.

  • You're signed in to a different Google Account than the one used to subscribe. Try signing in to the original account to manage the subscription.

  • Your subscription was activated through a partner program (e.g. ACMG, BCMC, ACC Vancouver, SAR, Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol). These complimentary subscriptions don't auto-renew through Google and don't require cancellation.

Requesting a refund

Refund requests for Google Play purchases are handled directly by Google. You can request one through your Google Play order history by selecting the Granite order and choosing Request a refund or Report a problem.
